Finally....The Day has come...

Yes!!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is the day i ORD!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the day that i have been waiting for so long!!!!!!!!!

This blog entry is especially entitle to my buddies in army...especially all those buddies in Amoy Quee Camp, 2 SIR, Charlie Company...becos we spent bulk of our army life together...

Hmm....2 yrs of army (to be exact is only 1 yr 10mths)....went thru lotsa hardship....enduring so much crap...realising what is mean by FREEDOM....having to know a group of super close buddies who all of them Tahan (endure) the worst condition that we can ever face...route marches...chionging shua( outfield/field camp)with super heavy field pack and weapon on our shoulder....heavy rain and hot weather....thirst, shag, hunger when out in the field and forest having super long Exercise and operation...Parade under the hot sun...the regiment ( which i hate the most!!!) in the army....all the punishment and scolding that i and my buddies kanna...weekend COS ( Company Orderly Sergeant) and guard duties....extras...

It's finally over!!! Tomorrow....tomorrow is the day...tomorrow is the day when all my hardship and crap will end!!!!

After 2 yrs of hardship....after 2 yrs of being an Infantry soldier...after 2 yrs of Army life...from Recruit to now Platoon Sergeant of Charlie Company HQ, 2 SIR...after....after....after....after so much....it's finally gonna end... ...

Before tomorrow come and put an end to my National Service...i am gonna do a short record of my whole entire 2 yrs of Army life....from Enlistment, being a recruit to stepping down as a Platoon Sergeant when i ORD :

April, 2005- My enlistment day, 7th of April...when i was sent to PulauTekong...when i become a soldier from a carefree civilian...the day when i become a recruit..the day when freedom is taken away from me..not to mention my long hair!!

June, 2005- My BMT ( Basic Military Training) pass out parade...the day when i become a trained soldier after all the training in BMTC (Basic Military Training Center in Pulau Tekong)

June, 2005- Posted to SISPEC ( School of Infantry Specialist) command school....a school to train young soldiers to Army commanders and leaders....this place is a nightmare for me!!!

October, 2005- Went Taiwan aka ROC for a 3 weeks training program...it's the last major exercise in SISPEC....after this training...all the trainee will pass out as 3rd Sergeant....i will never forget the things that happen in Taiwan!!!

November, 2005- Yes!!! Finally....Pass out from SISPEC....and i finally become a Sergeant!!!...Haha..finally..i can leave SISPEC, Palau Tekong!!!

November, 2005- Posted to Amoy Quee Camp, 2 SIR.....to hold the appointment of Infantry Section Commander....

December, 2005- Was sent to Pasir Lebar Camp to undergo a 84mm Recoilless Rifle course.

January, 2006- Posted to 2 SIR, Charlie Company, appointed as the 84mm Section commander!

February 2006- Went Thailand,Kanchanaburi, Sai Yok camp for 3 weeks....participated in 5 SIR ATEC...

March 2006- Appointed as 2SIR, Charlie Company HQ Platoon Sergeant!

August 2006- Participated in 2 SIR ATEC!

September 2006- Went Indonesia for a combine exercise with the Indonesia Army.

February 2007- 6th of Feb...My ORD day!!! ORD lor!!!!

I only record the major events....there is actually more training and events which i didn't mention above!!!


Conclusion:
After i had enlisted into the Army...After all these that i have went thru in the army.... i finally know what is mean by true freedom....i finally realise how lucky a person can be when he/she is just a simple civilian... or at least how lucky and happy i am before i serve my National Service...

It make me learn to cherish and appreciate the things and people around me...and make me not take things for granted...i believe that i have definitely grow and become more mature after my NS...i really appreciate this experience...after all it's an experience that money can't buy...all the memories that i had in army....i will never forget....

And to all my close buddies who went thru thick and thin with me in the army....Haha....i will never forget how we share our bunk...the XBOX, the TV in our bunk ..our nights off to Ang Mo Kio, Bishan and town...our long chatting session in bunks...the scoldings we kanna from our CSM...the tough PT session conducted by our OC...and the numerous route marches and exercises....let's hope that our buddies-bond will not just end tomorrow when we ORD...i will never forget how we enjoyed and how we suffered together...i will never forget u guys!!! Haha!!
(Hmm...do i make anyone feel sad?? Hahaha!!!)

I am gonna ORD with lotsa memories which money can't buy....and also with a heavy heart... ...
